Rules guide

Chess Rules

Chess is the classic two-player strategy game of kings, tactics, endgames, and long-term planning.

Chess works naturally asynchronously because each move is precise, reviewable, and easy to resume when it is your turn.

Core rules

  1. 1

Move one piece per turn according to its movement rules.

  2. 2

Check the opposing king and win by delivering checkmate.

  3. 3

Use async tables when players want thoughtful turns over time.

Current implementation status

Chess is available for table setup and play testing. Full public match starts open on August 1, 2026.
